Box Office: Frozen is Back on Top

The animated film Frozen took back its #1 spot at the box office this weekend, bringing in $20.7 million. Frozen has been out for seven weeks and has made a total of $297.8 million and hasn’t been lower than #3 in the box office. This weekend saw the opening of the Paranormal Activity spinoff, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones but the stand-alone film was no match for Frozen. It opened at #2 with $18.2 million. The Hobbit was knocked off its three-week reign at #1 down to #3, bringing in $16.2 million. The Wolf of Wall Street moved up one spot to #4 making $13.4 million. Close behind at #5 was American Hustle earning $13.2 million.

  9. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – $7.4 million
  10. Grudge Match – $5.4 million
